The Erasure of Black Brazilian Painters confronts the structural racism that has excluded Afro-Brazilian artists from the nation's cultural memory. Told through Black perspectives, the film restores visibility to overlooked visual artists, challenges Eurocentric narratives, and reveals the profound role Afro-descendants have played in shaping Brazilian art and society.
