Synopsis
Suya begins as a film about food and becomes a meditation on belonging. Over seven years, filmmaker Daro Umaigba travels across twelve countries tracing the smoke, spice, and stories surrounding one of Nigeria's most beloved street foods. Through migrants, entrepreneurs, and elders, the film reveals how suya carries memory, survival, dignity, and home across borders.
