SLUM BOMBER
Directed by Maureen Jolly Nankya
Slum Bomber is inspired by the true story of Julie Aloyo, the Ugandan boxer who helped redefine women's boxing in her country. Fifteen years after witnessing her father sacrifice his life to protect their family from LRA rebels, Julie leaves Northern Uganda for Kampala, determined to support her struggling mother, keep her sister in school, and pay for her younger brother's medical care. Working as a house helper, she is unexpectedly introduced to boxing—first as a curiosity, then as a possible lifeline.
