ECHOES BENEATH THE HILL

Rwanda, 1994. Days before the genocide against the Tutsi, ten-year-old Jeanne sets out to find her missing goat. What begins as a daring childhood adventure becomes a quiet confrontation with a world rapidly changing around her. Through encounters with fearful adults and growing tensions within her closest friendship, Jeanne begins to understand the ethnic divisions threatening her family and community.
