After a devastating earthquake, 16-year-old Ilyas leaves his rural Amazigh village with one urgent mission: find medicine for his sick mother. His only companion is a stubborn donkey until he encounters Abla, a privileged, French-speaking young woman from Marrakech whose car has broken down in the middle of the desert. What begins as a reluctant alliance becomes a funny, tender journey across class, culture, and grief.
