ANIMA
Directed by Boubecrine Ibrahim El Mamy
In Mauritania, a young man with albinism moves through a world that sees his difference before his humanity. Rejected and isolated, he searches for Anima—the inner light that preserves his dignity against the darkness around him. His paralyzed mother, silent and immobile, remains the only person who truly sees him. Told through silence, gesture, and luminous visual storytelling, Anima is a poetic meditation on exclusion, tenderness, and the human soul beyond appearance.
